The Edexcel BTEC Level 2 Diploma for IT Users (ITQ) has been approved as components required for the IT User Apprenticeship.

What is the purpose of these qualifications?

The purpose of these qualifications is to develop and recognise learners’ IT skills and knowledge and enable them to use IT effectively in their daily lives.

These qualifications are designed to prepare learners for employment in the IT sector and they are suitable for those who have decided that they wish to enter a specific area of work within the IT industry.

Who is this course for?

If your ambition is to pursue a career in computing and information communication technologies (ICT) or Business, then this course will give you just the start you need. You will be using our superb computer facilities and have the guidance of staff with a vast working knowledge of computer technology in industry and Business. The computers in our IT Centre are equipped with industry-relevant software, ensuring you gain the skills needed to enable you to progress into the workplace or onto further study.

4 GCSEs at Grade G or above including grade E or above in English and Maths

The Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Diploma - Engineering has been approved as components required for the Engineering Apprenticeship.

What these qualifications Lead To

These qualifications are designed to prepare learners for employment in the Engineering sector and they are suitable for those who have decided that they wish to enter a specific area of work within the Engineering industry.

Qualification leads to enhanced employment opportunities or Level 4 study including Access to HE: Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Civil Engineering, CAD 3D (Computer Aided Design), Construction Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Learners may also progress to Foundation Degree or Degree level study.
